At Go Health India, we are likely to acquaint you with types of fixation coming in two as: Cemented and Porous. Both may be effective in the replacement of hip joints.

1. Cemented Hip Implants

The Cemented Hip Implant is intended to be implanted using bone cement. Bone cement is inserted into the arranged femoral canal. Then the surgeon places the implant within the canal and the grout assists to hold it in the desired position.

2. Porous Hip Implants

The porous hip implant gets considered to be inserted into the prepared femoral canal without the use of bone cement. At first, the femoral canal is ready so that the implant fits tightly within it. The porous surfaces on the hip implant are intended to engage the bone within the canal and permit bone to grow into the porous surface.
